Allegheny Aggregate, Inc. is a processor of steel mill slag. The. slag is processed through an aggregate crusher to generate aggregate while also utilizing magnetic separation to salvage as much excess metal as possible. These metals are then sold to an affiliated company.
The crushed slag aggregate is then sold and used in driveways, road bases and concrete under bases. It is also sold to companies which extract out any additional metals and reduce the residual slag to a powder form. The powder is then mixed with other products and sold as fertilizer or powder for concrete.
